The primary responsibility will support several program areas including water, energy, waste and environmental reporting. Responsibilities will cover a range of activities including data gathering and analysis, conducting onsite audits, employee education efforts, or developing website content and other communications tools. The ideal candidate will be a ‘utility player’ who is interested in working on a variety of sustainability topics and activities.

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest and experience with sustainability topics including water, waste, materials, energy, or greenhouse gas emissions
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting processes (e.g. WRI, CDP, SASB, GRI)
  • Facility with quantitative data and ability to interpret and communicate results
  • Strong communication skills both written and orally
  • Curiosity and initiative; ability to work independently

Description

- Work in a cross-functional environment with other key internal Apple groups and external vendors to collect environmental data and help implement program initiatives Manage spreadsheets and build presentations to communicate findings Support program implementation through onsite work such as waste audits, infrastructure mapping, conducting due diligence Support other program teams with data requests and guidance requests around environmentally-preferable operational or procurement decisions Strong attention to detail Self-starter with ability to lead multiple projects concurrently Ability to transition with ease between very different types of tasks

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree in environmental studies, science or policy
