AREA MANAGER

Job Description

SUMMARY: Directs and organizes production operations for assigned territory by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes some or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Coordinate production in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the Company
• Confer with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area
• Develop plan for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees
• Review production costs and product quality and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division
• Direct preparation of accounting records
• Effectively manage and direct  assigned supervision and management
• Recommend budgets to management
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules
• React appropriately in an emergency situation
• Perform all duties as required
• Report timely and accurately to direct supervisor

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: An individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Master’s degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Bi-lingual in Spanish is beneficial.

MATH ABILITY: Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic computer skills required

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

• As required by law, regulation, or company policy
• Obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications

SUPERVISORY RESPOSIBILITIES: Supervision of employees and client projects including hiring, firing, promotion, salary recommendation and discipline
