We are currently looking to add a dynamic Vegetation Control Technician to our passionate team of utility vegetation management professionals. Your office is outdoors, and you get a new view every day!

What You’ll Do:
Maintain standard levels of vegetation in the surrounding area around utility poles by:
Applying herbicides to control weeds and grasses around utility poles
Using equipment to maintain appropriate levels of weeds and brush
Following contracts for work conditions and job specifications
Collect data to monitor and manage levels of invasive species of vegetation.
Properly maintain, calibrate, and operate all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

What We’re Seeking:
Love of the outdoors
Preferred: line clearance experience or other related work
Ability to complete Electrical Hazard Awareness Program and OSHA Training
Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
Preferred: Valid driver’s license with Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement
Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist ®, ISA Certified Tree Worker ®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional ®
Pre-employment Drug Screen and Social Security verification required.
