Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. is seeking an engineer with five to seven years of experience to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. Ideal candidate will display knowledge of stormwater management and erosion and sediment control practices, stormwater BMP design, SWPPP development, MS4 permits and regulations, TMDLs, and environmental regulations and compliance. Must have Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Erosion and Sediment control (ESC) and Stormwater Management (SWM) Plan Reviewer certifications or be able to obtain within one year of employment. Responsibilities will include inspections and reporting, SWPPP development, and coordination with clients. Experience with AutoCAD (particularly Civil 3D), MicroStation, and/or GIS applications preferred. Project and personnel management experience a plus.
Primary duties will include:
-Working with Local and State Government clients on TMDL and MS4 Regulatory Compliance issues
-Hydrologic watershed analysis
-Hydraulic analysis/design of open and closed drainage systems
-Storm drain analysis/design
-SWM/LID/BMP design
-SWPPP Development
-ESC/Stormwater Plan Review
-Other civil and environmentally-related studies
-Autodesk® computer aided design work
REQUIRED
-Bachelor’s degree in civil/water resources engineering
-Minimum two years of relevant experience
-EIT in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering
-Experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, SWMM, and TR-55
PREFERRED
-PE in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering
-Experience with closed storm drain systems design and analysis
-Experience with Clean Water Act and Chesapeake Bay regulations
