Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Virginia Certified ESC/Stormwater Plan Reviewer with two to five years of experience.  The position will support work in the Richmond, Virginia office but may be eligible to be fully remote. Ideal candidate will display knowledge of stormwater management and erosion and sediment control practices, stormwater BMP design, SWPPP development, and environmental regulations and compliance. Must have Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) and Stormwater Management (SWM) Plan Reviewer certifications. Responsibilities will include plan review and reporting, as well as coordination with clients. Experience with AutoCAD (particularly Civil 3D), and/or GIS applications preferred. While an engineering background is preferred, candidates with a background in environmental science or related studies and the technical ability to perform the aforementioned tasks will also be considered.

 

Primary duties will include:

-ESC/Stormwater Plan Review

-Working with local and state government clients on ESC and Stormwater Compliance issues

-Hydraulic analysis review

-Storm drain analysis

-SWM/LID/BMP review

-Other civil and environmentally-related studies

 

REQUIRED

-Bachelor’s degree in civil/water resources engineering or STEM field

-Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

-Virginia DEQ Certified ESC and SWM Plan Reviewer

 

PREFERRED

-Experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, SWMM, and TR-55

-Experience with closed storm drain systems

-Experience with Clean Water Act and Chesapeake Bay regulations
