About the job

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

As Technical Program Manager for Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) Data and Analytics, you will provide leadership in the development of EHS&S analytics, systems and tools that enable our teams to work safely and efficiently via use and interpretation of data. You will engage with all levels of employees and leadership to develop a data management strategy and select/design new tools, processes and procedures to use data to mitigate risks to our workforce and the environments that we operate in. You will work with key stakeholders in engineering, construction, operations and EHS&S to lead a comprehensive strategy that allows leaders to continuously evaluate program risks and opportunities, and then develop work plans to execute on agreed objectives.

  • Lead the EHS&S data analytics team responsible for building data infrastructure, analytics, and business intelligence necessary for evaluating Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability data.
  • Collaborate with partner team leadership to define vision, data standards and change management roadmaps for EHS&S systems and tools.
  • Drive creation of artifacts for a typical software development lifecycle (SDLC) program such as Requirement Document, Business Benefits, Design Document, Project Plan, Risk Assessment, Scope, Timeline, Resourcing, Budget, Change Management, and Communication Plan.
  • Work with other Program Managers to explore new innovative EHS&S technologies and evaluate potential for integration with existing and future business processes.
