Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. (WSSI) is seeking a civil/environmental engineering or biological engineering student interested in wetlands, streams, and water resources for an internship for summer 2020. Projects will include stream restoration, low impact development, wetlands mitigation design, and floodplain studies. In addition, the engineering intern will spend about a third of their time rotating through different departments at WSSI (e.g., Environmental Services, Survey, Archeology, etc.) and will also participate in the in-house wetland delineation course and plant identification course. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, TR-55, and Microsoft Office, or a desire to learn these industry standard programs. This program is ideal for students interested in learning about different aspects of environmental consulting while also gaining engineering experience.
At least one year of undergraduate studies in a related field required.
