This position is located within the Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Marine Fisheries Service, Office of the Assistant Administrator for Fisheries, with one vacancy in Silver Spring, MD.

Responsibilities

As a Marine Resources Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

  • Support the development and execution of strategic plans for species that live in the ocean or in on-land man made systems.
  • Plan and assist in preparing budgets and annual operating plans for the aquaculture program.
  • Reviews, assess, prioritize, assists in the development and implementation of science-based tools and policies for sustainable marine aquaculture.
  • Assimilate technical and scientific information on marine aquaculture issues for use in public forums, strategic plans, briefs, papers and other documents.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - Up to 10% of domestic or foreign travel may be required.
