The Covanta Environmental Solutions (CES) Internship program allows talented individuals to join the Covanta team and gain knowledge and experience about the Energy from Waste (EfW) industry and the processing of Non-Hazardous Waste streams.  These projects and assignments will be created specifically for the participating business units of this program.  Coupled with the student’s classroom experience, this program will help round out the individuals in their area of studies.  In this program, students will have the opportunity to:

• Work side by side with Covanta professionals
• Gain an understanding of the Energy from Waste industry
• Receive valuable training
• Understand the value of safety in a plant environment

The CES Intern will be working and learning different aspects of the business operations. These include marketing, research, analysis, planning, and support.

This intern will work for the VP of Customer Care to provide support on CES brand identity, market research, marketing collateral development, and CRM support and development projects.

This is a paid internship. We are seeking a candidate who can work 40 hours per week over the summer.

Position Requirements

• Pursuing Business, Marketing, Environmental or related degree or related undergrad major
• Current Sophomore or Junior
• Competent with computer software
• Analytical and planning skills coupled with the ability to multi-task
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and creative problem-solving approach
• Strong team player; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• MS Office skills, expertise with Excel and PowerPoint
