-Working with senior NEPA planners and as a key part of our NEPA planning team, candidate responsibilities would include; leading environmental tasks, assisting in the writing and development of NEPA documents, research, and mentoring junior staff as well as assist in conducting public engagement.
-This position would include office and fieldwork as well as meeting with the general public during regular working hours. Some evening and weekend meetings, as needed.
-This position will be communicating, on a personal level, with project staff, clients, and resource agencies, stakeholders (elected officials, citizens, business community representatives, and environmental justice communities).
-Duties would include basic to moderate complexity analysis and interpretation of site data or uses previously collected data and/or established models to support the documentation and study of environmental conditions, evaluate proposed projects and associated impacts in relation to the environment, and support actions that further project goals (e.g., regulatory compliance, restoration design, remedy for contamination of groundwater, soil, air, etc.).
-Collaborates with other scientists, engineers, planners, and constructors to implement the approved project approaches.
-Assists more senior staff with the development of technical documentation to support the firm's Total Knowledge Management (TKM).
-Bachelor's degree in science or related discipline.
-Experience: 3 years of related experience.
-Travel: Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
-Strong background in wetland delineation, species surveys, and 404 permitting.
