This position is located in the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Pacific Islands Regional Office (PIRO) or Alaska Regional Office (AKRO), with many vacancies in either: Honolulu, HI; Kailua Kona, HI; Barrigada, Guam; Pago Pago, AS; Juneau, AK; Anchorage, AK.

As a Resource Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
• Responsible for assisting in Regional implementation of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and other applicable statutes.
• Evaluate scientific information, analyze scientific and management reports and publications, and validate scientific data.
• Ensure compliance with requirements of the MSA, ESA, MMPA, NEPA, and other applicable laws, and promote the conservation and management of protected resources, fisheries, and/or their habitats.
• Conduct public meetings, solicit and respond to public comments, and perform other related tasks.
Occasional travel - Up to 10% of domestic travel may be required.
