The Scientist would work with a small team of biologists, environmental planners, and engineers to design and execute aquatic habitat restoration projects, biological studies, environmental assessments, and other natural resources investigations. More About This Role:

  • Stream and River restoration;
  • Conducting field surveys for vegetation, wildlife, wildlife habitat, and riverine features in the Pacific Northwest;
  • NEPA/SEPA analysis;
  • Performing wetland delineations;
  • Fisheries studies and fish monitoring;
  • ESA compliance analysis and Biological Assessment preparation;
  • Preparing and overseeing development of environmental permits, including CWA Sections 404/401;
  • GIS mapping and data analysis
  • Assisting in business development for biological/environmental work.  


  • BS in Biology/Water Resources Sciences and at least 3-5 years of professional experience, or MS in Biology/Water Resources Sciences and at least 1-3 years of professional experience in environmental science and project management including surveying, monitoring and permitting; water quality, delineation of wetlands, and restoration.
  • Knowledge of local plant, fish and/or wildlife species and their habitat requirements;
  • Experience developing mitigation/monitoring plans;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Experience preparing reports, NEPA and ESA documentation;
  • Experience with GIS and Excel;
  • Valid driver’s license.
