If you are a proven Front End Delivery Manager then this role is a chance for you shape the development one of the largest Offshore Wind leases situated off the east coast of the US. Providing value to the joint venture between Shell and EDFR whilst building an industry in US waters.

Where you fit in

You will be responsible for all project delivery and technical aspects of the Joint Venture to deliver a development portfolio of complete offshore wind farms safely, to a challenging life cycle business case. Building a team and capability to mature the projects through the early opportunity and concept selection phases. 

What’s the role?

Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind Farm LLC is a joint venture between Shell and EDFR and holds the rights to a sea bed lease off the cost of New Jersey. This significant investment requires development and securing of competitive tenders that provide a route to market for the electricity generated.

You will establish, lead and deliver the Atlantic Shores technical and project delivery strategy for the portfolio and individual projects, ensuring that HSSE is proactively managed over the full life of the asset and at the core of all activities. Your focus will be upon delivery by driving value-based decisions that balance economic, development and technical works to progress the projects in a competitive environment. 

You will sit on the Management Team of the development and help shape not only the approach to Atlantic Shores but also how Shell brings our experience to the offshore wind sector to create a world class business case. You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership and your industry reputation.


What we need from you 

You will be comfortable in building a strategy and team for delivery, working on early phase developments. Understanding the how to identify and ensure value is delivered over all phases of the life cycle. You will have a project background and be experienced in complex offshore projects and the interaction between development permitting, commercial, engineering and delivery. You will bring teams together and ensure that communication is effective between the different teams.

You’ll need as many of the following as possible on your CV:

  • Significant years' previous supervisory duties (at least 4 direct reports). 
  • Outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication, presentation skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people from all types of fields of expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple primes and subcontractor relationships simultaneously.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, ability to work well with others and be a good team player.
  • Knowledge of risk evaluation and statistical modelling a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of cost control philosophy and methodologies, estimating, change management, and document controls procedures required. 
  • Experience with budgets, scheduling and RFP processes.
