WESTON's Billerica, Massachusetts office has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated environmental professional under our highly successful US EPA START program. The selected candidate will be provided with a wide range of learning opportunities and field experience to broaden their professional skills while working on unique assignments for our strategic Client. Our multidisciplinary team participates in a variety of projects under the EPA Removal and pre-Remedial programs, including hazardous waste site investigations, environmental assessments, removal actions, preparedness and prevention planning, emergency response to chemical and oil spills, and other technical assignments. Tasks include project management, extensive client contact, field activities, data interpretation, report preparation, and other technical support activities.
Our team is seeking a motivated individual with strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; solid organization skills, ownership and accountability; and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and anticipate team needs. The successful candidate will also have a strong desire to support the mission of protecting public health and the environment. A minimum of a H.S. degree, 40-hour OSHA Hazwoper training, and direct on-scene experience with hazardous substance and oil releases and spills is required. A BS degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology or other discipline is preferred.
Travel is required mainly throughout New England.
