Tesla Motors is looking for Environmental specialist for our GF-3 project located in Lingang Shanghai. The position is responsible for environmental documentation control and environmental monitoring implementation. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and will demonstrate a high level of professionalism. The Environmental specialist reports to the Environment Manager.

Major tasks and responsibilities of position

·         Develop GF3 Environmental monitoring plan and layout according to the latest legal basis. Tracking the implementation of environment regulation and monitoring plan.

·         Evaluate and communicate the results within Tesla GF3. Update monitoring result summary in time. Tracking the abnormal situations and support corrective/preventive action if needed.

·         Ensure Tesla GF3 environmental management documents up to date and support Workshops to establish or improve the environmental protection related accounts.

·         Finish all environmental related reporting work which is required by local authorities.

·         Be responsible for CEMS (Continuous Emission monitoring system) management and data audit.

·         Support GF3 pollutant discharge permit application and regular refreshment.

·         Support government or authorities’inspection and visit.

·         Support other related work on the environmental protection part.

·         Support RCA of Environment related cases.


·         Bachelor’s Degree or above in Engineering or Science. Degree in Environmental engineering/science, safety engineering, or related field is desired.

·         At least 3 years of experience in EHS or Environment management. Auto and EV car industry is desired.

·         Good written and verbal communication in English.

·         Strong coordination, organizational, interpersonal skills. Must be Team player.

·         Knowledgeable of applicable laws and regulation.

·         Positive attitude to take challenge from authority on regulation aspect.

·         High Proficiency in Microsoft products along with ability to learn to work within multiple databases

·         Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals.

·         Ability to consistently act with integrity and credibility.
