Job Description

Environmental Compliance Inspector, Mid

Key Role:

Support compliance evaluation inspections for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) client and site investigations at Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) corrective action and enforcement facilities, researching and comprehending environmental compliance requirements for facilities that manage fuel storage tanks, hazardous materials, and operate under various permits, including RCRA, HSWA, CAA, and CWA. Provide mid-level technical support and project management for diverse and challenging environmentally-focused projects while supporting other mid-level staff and senior staff. Provide management and development support for junior staff. Perform task leadership and project management.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with working as an environmental consultant

-Experience with federal environmental regulations, including CAA, NESHAP, RCRA, TSCA, FIFRA, CWA, SDWA, CERCLA, and NEPA

-Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint

-Ability to travel

-Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a working environment

-BS degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Health Science

-Completion of 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification

-US EPA Inspector Credential Certification

-EPA Order 3500.1 Credentials

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with providing onsite consulting support and knowledge transfer for clients

-Experience with data management, SharePoint, and Tableau

-Experience with air programs, water or wastewater, and fuel storage tanks

-Experience with supporting field sampling events

-Possession of excellent time management skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MS or MPH degree preferred

-Current 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification

-Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) and RCRA Inspector Certification
