Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join the team in our Freeport, Illinois, office. We are talented, trustworthy and skilled people who are passionate about what we do and enjoy providing personalized attention to our clients. This person will support the environmental health, safety and compliance needs our industrial and commercial clients through technical assistance, regulatory review and/or detailed environmental plan and program creation or modification in a team environment. 

Responsibilities You will uphold the firm's high standards for consulting services and be responsible for the successful completion of client projects. You will provide detailed work product as part of the environmental health and safety staff. You will be responsible for developing reports, preparing correspondence, and/or completing regulatory forms or documentation. 

What it takes You should have a bachelor's or master's degree in safety, environmental services or a relevant discipline and appropriate experience. Discipline examples are Environmental Science, Geology, Water Resources, Biology, Safety, Chemistry or Earth Sciences.

 A minimum of one year of experience is preferred, but entrants to this position may have no previous experience.

You should speak and write well something we take seriously. You also should be comfortable training and presenting to audiences of 10 to 50 people. You should have strong analytical and organizational skills.

You must be self-motivated and work effectively independently (with little or no direct supervision) and in teams.
