Golder has a new opportunity for a Field Technician to join our Central Operations team in a Full-Time position at our Bismarck, North Dakota office.  

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide support on a variety of environmental compliance, regulatory permitting, and site remediation projects for manufacturing, oil & gas, and land development clients
  • Assist with emergency spill response, environmental investigations and the collection of  environmental data
  • Prepare technical reports, complete permit applications and other regulatory documents
  • Assist with field investigations related to wetland delineations and threatened & endangered species surveys
  • Assist with SPCC Plans, SWPPPs, Phase I ESAs, and other environmental plans and documents involving water, soil, and waste. 

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Aptitude in the engineering, geology, or environmental science  
  • Fluency Microsoft Office Suite
  • Field and/or construction experience    
  • Ability to travel throughout the state of North Dakota, including travel for extended assignments
  • Report writing and field & construction documentation skills  
  • The ability to communicate constructively with contractors, owners, and senior Golder personnel  

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field
  • Exposure to GIS or Civil 3D, and other data analysis tools
  • Current OSHA certifications
