Monitor and audit company operations on a regular basis to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain required environmental operational procedures to ensure company and employee awareness and comprehension and adherence to approved health, safety, and environmental practices. Develop and maintain a program for issuing empty and receiving full hazardous waste containers. Coordinate packaging, labeling, and transportation of hazardous waste to an approved treatment, storage, and disposal facility. Review wastewater analytical reports and inspect company facilities to ensure wastewater discharges meet local, state, and federal regulations. Prepare and submit written recommendations to management and necessary government paperwork, interface with regulatory agencies, as required, and provide work leadership for junior employees.
-3+ years of experience with environmental restoration accomplished under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) or the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA)
-Experience with Performance-Based Remediation (PBR), one or more federal agency programs, including Army, Air Force, or Corps of Engineers, and various phases of the acquisition process related to PBR contracts
-Experience with a variety of contract vehicles
-Experience with managing technical teams, including work load distribution and timely deliverable submittal
-Knowledge of the Environmental Restoration Program (ERP) process and identifying sites, investigating threats, site cleanup, site closure, and environmental remediation
-Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, including RCRA and CERCLA, Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP), and Federal Acquisition Regulations
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree required
