Oversee project coordination and serve as the main point of contact for all information and workflow between the team and the client to complete the project associated with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. Maintain good communications with the client through weekly progress reports and progress calls. Collaborate with the team to identify anticipated workload requirements relative to the primary issues identified, concerns, and adherence to the project schedule and timeline. Lead, participate, facilitate, and communicate with the team and the client on all critical stages of the NEPA process. Provide supervision, daily work direction, quality control, and oversight to the team on project deliverables.
-Experience in project management working with the Department of Interior (DOI) Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
-Experience with leading and managing projects related to BLM’s Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) and related land resource plans
-Knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), executive orders, secretarial orders, and all applicable laws, regulations, and policies throughout the NEPA process
-Ability to think critically as a project lead, multi-task, and work closely with a team to execute project activities under strict timelines and deadlines
-HS diploma or GED
-BA or BS degree in Environmental Science or Studies, Biology, Geology, or a related field or 8+ years of experience in a related field preferred
-Certification in project management a plus
