Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, provincial and national regulations to ensure compliance. Work is performed with minimal direction.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Responsible for advanced duties and activities in their specialized functional area.
Conducts research and does investigation work as required.
Plans and organizes project studies.
Assists in the resolution of conflicting technical information and unsuitability of standard procedures.
Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems.
May oversee the work of less experienced scientists.
5 years of experience in ecology / biology.
Experience with utility-scale electric transmission and oil and gas.
Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, or related field.
Client engagement and development experience
Experience with selling, conducting, leading, and delivering environmental permitting services, including ability to manage projects, interdisciplinary teams, and workload, as well as interface with clients
Demonstrated proposal writing skills, including competitive proposals
Knowledge of environmental permitting, NEPA, relevant environmental regulations and processes, and related environmental considerations
MS Office Products proficiency
Position requires field work and candidate must be able to travel
Demonstrated ability to manage projects to scope, schedule, and budge

Must possess a valid driver's license
