Job Description

Job Summary:

Oversee the collection and evaluation of data used to support and ensure compliance of various environmental regulatory efforts at Disney Cruise Line (DCL) including water consumption, emissions and waste elimination. Verify data accuracy while ensuring timely delivery of reporting to appropriate Company representatives and external agencies as necessary to aid in decision making, forecasting and overall compliance. Assist business segments and Cast/Crew members to maintain environmental compliance and implementation of improvements and changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop & establish industry contacts; report out to ADEC, EPA - NPDES, and other related government agencies
  • Collect and input new European Union Monitoring, Reporting and Verification of Emissions data
  • Collect and analyze Disney Corporate EARTH data and ensure quality assurance
  • Develop process and reporting efficiencies that will allow DCL to achieve environmental targets (i.e. reduce emissions, waste to landfill & water consumption)
  • Collect and QA new IMO emissions data
  • Establish data collection site for White Box and sludge discharge data to ensure compliance
  • Visit ships and monitor waste to find ways to reduce generation on board
  • Share technical knowledge for the company in respect of the delivery of environmental compliance objectives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong computer software capabilities, presentation and training skills
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong negotiating and influencing abilities
  • Strong partnering skills

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
