The Facility Operations Intern will provide operations and engineering support for optimizing operation of the Waste-to-Energy facility. The selected individual will work with Facility operations and maintenance personal and regional engineering to collect, organize and analyze operational data with the goal of optimizing facility performance.
The responsibilities will include:
• Tracing various mechanical and electrical systems
• Creating database of nameplate information of facility equipment
• Assisting in testing and analyzing gathered data
• Support operation and maintenance departments in their daily duties
• Review Technical Standards requirements and assist in organizing information needed to comply with those requirements

Position Requirements 

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Environmental preferred 
  • Current Sophomore or Junior
  • General understanding of Steam Power Plant operations
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong PC skills including MS-Office and AutoCAD
  • Travel to other facilities will be required
  • Possession of reliable car, insurance and good driving record
