The Sustainability Intern will assist with projects in corporate sustainability department. Projects may include assisting with the development of Covanta’s Sustainability Report and evaluation of sustainability rankings, ratings, and indices.  The intern may assist with other sustainability and environmental department projects as needed and time allows.

A sample list of projects is provided below:

  1. Assist with report to carbon disclosure project and other sustainability ratings / rankings
  2. Compile Covanta data for sustainability report 
  3. On line research for various projects that support report and sustainability indices

Position Requirements 

  • Pursuing Chemical, Environmental or related engineering degree or Environmental science or Sustainability or related undergrad major
  • Current Sophomore or Junior
  • Competent with computer software
  • Quantitative sustainability related experience, a plus
