Responsibilities

At the entry level of this position, you will:

- Assist higher-graded staff in examining and evaluating scientific data consistent with project-specific statutory deadlines under the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act (PRIA) and the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and  Rodenticide Act (FIRFA).

- With assistance from higher-graded staff, write scientific evaluations related to impacts of pesticide usage.

- Participate in conducting exposure analyses to support pesticide risk assessments and risk management decisions under PRIA and FIFRA.

- Research and apply federal laws and agency regulations which form the regulatory framework for pesticide usage.

When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
