We are seeking a forestry student with interest in working on our Maine forestlands during the summer of 2019. This internship opportunity is at our Bingham, ME office location. The position will entail natural covertype field examinations, plantation survival assessments, silvicultural history maintenance in the inventory system, and survival check plot auditing. The position will be 80% field work and 20% office work. The candidate will be responsible for visiting young stands in the field and collecting detailed stocking and competition data. The candidate will be utilizing mobile technology to navigate sites and collect survival detail for input into the inventory system. The position will also be auditing 3rd party contractors conducting survival check work. This is a great position for forestry students looking to go into early rotation silviculture.
