Job Description

Administrative Aide performs administrative, accounting, and/or human resources work in support of the District. This position will:

• Act as a deputy clerk to the Fiscal Oversight Commission by posting notices in accordance with the Brown Act, preparing agenda packets, taking and distributing minutes, and scheduling committee and subcommittee meetings

• Coordinate agenda packet preparation for the Board of Directors, including finalizing reports, contracts, and supporting documents per County guidelines; track and implement revisions requested by staff throughout the review process, and deliver final product to the County Administrator's Office

• Develop vendor contracts from checklists submitted by APOSD staff and maintain contract files

• Coordinate completion of complex contracts by collaborating with County Counsel

• Participate in various District internal committees to propose process improvements

The ideal candidate will possess:

• The ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain effective working relationships

• Experience in report writing with knowledge of language mechanics, syntax and English composition

• Familiarity with administrative requirements for public meetings

• Knowledge of modern office policies and computer programs including Microsoft Office
