Job Description

Job Summary:

The Project Manager should have five to 10 years of experience working in the Mid-west on Natural Resource based projects involving wetland and threatened and endangered species issues and must have strong state and federal environmental permitting experience. Renewable energy experience is a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Project management experience throughout the mid-west managing natural resource-based projects
  • Ability to keep deliverable schedules, schedule staff for projects and adhere to budgets
  • Assist with proposal preparation
  • Strong technical knowledge base in wetlands, wildlife, and botany
  • Strong environmental permitting experience (401/404 permitting)
  • Technical report writing
  • Develop agency relationships and the ability to represent ECT as our professional expert
  • Stay current with applicable regulations and be involved in the industry as an ECT representative at conferences and industry functions
  • Be a positive member of the team and encourage communication and coordination across ECT offices and service lines.
  • Be a mentor and active member of the team in terms of technical training, product quality and health and safety
  • Assist with fieldwork (wetland delineations) when necessary

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors/ Master's preferred with 5-10 years of experience in mid-west
  • Previous consulting experience preferred
  • Experience as wetland scientist, botanist ot wildlife biologist and permitting

 Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional verbal and technical writing skills
  • Occasional travel to attend agency meetings, some fieldwork, client meetings and conferences
