Job Description

Required Skills:

  • Excellent writing skills, including experience writing resource reports and translating technical information into public-friendly documents
  • Knowledge of public engagement strategies and sensitivity to cultural diversity
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work with different disciplines in a large office
  • Flexibility to travel to other cities and office locations for projects as needed
  • Valid driver’s license required

Desirable Skills:

  • Internship or entry-level experience on NEPA/MEPA projects in a consulting firm or government agency
  • Experience writing resource reports, categorical exclusions, environmental assessments and/or environmental impact statements
  • Producing materials for and participating in public engagement activities
  • GIS, Access, Excel expertise
  • Commitment to producing high quality work
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Ability to build relationships and network with partners in remote locations
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and discretion
  • Self-motivation; sense of urgency
