Job Description

The Real Estate Workplace Services (REWS) Sustainability Team is responsible for developing sustainability strategy and supporting frameworks for our global Real Estate and Development teams. We engage across teams to facilitate and deliver on our Google Sustainability commitments. Sustainability is embedded in every part of the built environment at Google. We take a holistic approach, thinking beyond just minimizing our negative impact, to how we can enrich the planet, our employees and our communities.

As the Urban Ecology Program Manager your job is to develop science-based design guidance at a scale that impacts the Bay Area regionally. You are responsible for developing the strategic roadmap and tools/resources for Google’s Urban Ecology program. You will work closely with external partners to set a precedent for enhancing ecological value and urban biodiversity. You will also engage internal teams to scale this guidance across new developments in the Bay Area and beyond. This is a highly collaborative role that requires someone who works well with teammates, partners, vendors and internal clients.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work -- from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.
