O’Brien & Gere’s Pathways to Employment (PTE) Co-op/Internship program simulates full-time employment, giving you first hand exposure to real roles and responsibilities while working on challenging projects.  Our seasoned professionals provide mentorship and guidance as you apply your course studies to real world situations.  Through the many additional opportunities offered to our PTE participants, such as Lunch ‘n Learns, networking and community service days.  We provide all of the tools you need to jumpstart your career. 

SCIENTIST/GEOLOGIST/HYDROGEOLOGIST

O’Brien & Gere is currently accepting applications for our PTE Co-op/Internship Program.  We are currently seeking Scientist/Geologist/Hydrogeologist to become key members of the O’Brien & Gere team.  Successful candidates must be comfortable as a team player and an independent worker with a basic knowledge of scientific fundamentals and their application to the production of scientific work.  Work will involve field and office work, which may include sampling and testing, contractor oversight, site assessments , developing and writing portions of reports, evaluations, audits, assessments, and permitting activities

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have completed his/her sophomore or junior year in one of the following scientific disciplines:  geology, hydrogeology, ecology or environmental science and GPA 3.0 or higher.  Position requires excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to adhere to policies and procedures
