Job Description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Core of Corporate PR / Community and Sustainability is to bring our core belief “through sport, we have the power to change lives” and our strategic business plan “Creating the New” to life internally and externally via owned and earned media as well as activating adidas Community and Sustainability platforms

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard and positively impact/shape the reputation of addias and help build both the corporate brand and amplify the adidas/Reebok Brands through transparency, pro-active and effective PR i.e. story-telling and stakeholder management.
  • Proceed projects aligning with global and APAC directions and strategy through regular contact to ensure that local projects are in accordance with global direction
  • Execute corporate PR projects conveying the company’s purpose, strategy and objectives to both internal and external stakeholders/target groups in engaging manner
  • Manage Corporate reputation and crisis through strong relationship with corporate media
  • Support planning and execute events in accordance with the given budget and track budget usage against annual events
  • Support on managing all contract negotiations with respective partners
  • Implement CSR and Sustainability events on the annual Community & Sustainability calendar to ensure smooth operations while capturing the spirit of adidas Sustainability philosophy
  • Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with partner organisations to ensure a fair selection of program participants, clear scheduling and successful event implementations
  • Collaborate closely with both Brands, Wholesale and HR to plan and implement the involvement of brands, business partners and employees respectively in social and environmental purpose initiatives to ensure their active engagement
  • Develop presentations and communication tools in close cooperation with the Senior Manager as well as external partners
  • Create PR stories of Sustainability activities in terms of Corporate and Brand communication and pitch them through internal and external channels
  • Implement follow-up actions as defined by the Senior Manager to measure success and follow through of events
  • Support the implementation of Corporate PR activities

  • DTC and Wholesale Sales GTM Team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Progressive experience in brand communication and/or Social responsibility
  • Leading and managing large scaled projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven project management experience
  • Advanced user of MS Office suite of products
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Fluent in local language and English
  • Implementation-driven personality who understands how to orchestrate across categories across all distribution channels.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent experience in sports, event management, communication, business
  • Multi-year experience in cause related projects and activities
  • Multi-year experience in a PR/Communications position
