There are two (2) vacancies, one located in the Myrtlewood Field Office, Coos Bay District, in North Bend, OR, and one located in the Grants Pass Field Office, Medford District, in Medford, OR.

This position performs a full range of aid type duties and a variety of technical duties in support of wildlife programs.  Performs on-the-ground inventories of wildlife habitat and ecological conditions and analyze data.  Determines likely impacts of mineral exploration, development and operation, realty actions, recreational activities, and forestry and range development and improvement projects on wildlife and their habitat.  Conducts compliance checks on minerals exploration, development and operations, realty actions, and range improvement projects to evaluate impacts and ensure conformation and mitigation measures.  Plans, aids in designing, and lays out projects for wildlife habitat improvement.  Enters and retrieves data from automated databases.
