Provide program and project-level Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) in support of the client’s Environmental Restoration Program (ERP). Perform tasks requiring knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and statutes, DoD, Air Force, and ANG regulations, business practices, and documentation. Evaluate alternative remedial technologies, prepare guidance documents and environmental policy reviews, and provide Remedial Process Optimization (RPO) support services in accordance with Air Force requirements. Perform visits to various installations to assess performance of remediation systems, either existing or proposed, and evaluate if current or planned activities will achieve program goals.
-5 years of experience with managing environmental investigations and remediation projects at complex CERCLA or RCRA sites
-Experience with CERCLA or RCRA, field work, including groundwater or soil monitoring and collection, monitoring, report writing and analysis, and remediation
-Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, remediation technologies, EPA analytical methods, relevant EPA and OSHA regulations, and industry standards
-Ability to organize and document detailed data and to develop professional quality reports and presentations
-Ability to present ideas logically and concisely to diverse audiences at all internal and external levels, both orally and in writing
-Ability to communicate basic environmental and scientific information concisely and effectively to diverse groups
-BA or BS degree in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science required
-Knowledge of perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)
-Professional Registration as an Engineer or Geologist preferred
-40 Hour HAZWOPER Training
