This position is located in the Gila District, Tucson Field Office, located in Tucson, Arizona.  Information about Location and the Location area can be found at https://www.tucsonaz.gov/.

The incumbent locates, collects, compiles, and coordinates data from all appropriate water sources located on public lands within the Tucson Field Office, coordinates with other programs, such as wildlife and fisheries, to facilitate efficient collection of hydrologic data in a suitable format for use by multiple programs, and records the data in a computerized format so it can easily be utilized. Thus, duties include but are not limited to:

-Quality control of field collection of water project data.

-Inventories various water sources for the purposes of identifying nd protecting Federal Water Rights.

-Assembles office and field data into configurations necessary to fit the Bureau of Land Management's water inventory system and requirement for water rights assertions.

-Provides training, technical assistance to resource area specialists.
