Summary

About the Position: Fort Stewart Covers 280,000 acres including parts of Liberty, Long, Tattnall, Evans and Bryan counties in southeast Georgia. The area offers easy commuting, good schools as well as many surrounding historical sites to visit. Fort Stewart is located next to Hinesville Georgia and is about 45 miles from Beautiful Savannah Georgia. Responsibilities

  • Directs others on the fire crew and participates in wildland fire management projects.
  • Investigates causes of wildfires.
  • Marks timber and performs timber cruising.
  • Trains new technicians on fire techniques.
  • Trains new technicians on timber sale preparation.
  • Perform Global Positioning System (GPS) datalogger operations.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel upton 5% for this position.
