As RCA’s Executive Director Roberta (Robbi) Savage prepares to retire from an exceptional career in environmental nonprofit leadership, the search is underway to find an experienced, motivated, and visionary individual ready to lead as RCA’s next Executive Director (ED).

Desired Background and Qualifications
RCA seeks an Executive Director with proven leadership and management skills, and a demonstrated capability to develop effective and diverse partnerships and identify innovative solutions. The Executive Director will need to articulate the mission and vision of the organization as evident in RCA’s programs and policies. Experience with staff, financial and administrative management of organizations in a flexible work environment is desired, along with experience in long-term planning and the use of a broad range of office technologies, particularly having a demonstrated ability to communicate and market through social media. A candidate will also benefit from positive local relationships and a working knowledge of environmental policies, issues and strategies.
The Executive Director will have experience in development and fundraising, including foundation and government grants as well as corporate and private donations. The Executive Director will have significant experience in a related field, with successful experience in a leadership and management role. Previous experience working with non-profit organizations and any related advanced degrees or certifications are also desirable.
