THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER, Position Description Number T5210000 and is part of the NH 157th ARW, National Guard.
Serves as the single point of contact for the initiation, development, and execution of all environmental activities and development or implementation of regulatory guidance for an installation and its immediate geographic region, with a collaborative influence extending to a broader area. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: aircraft mishap response, off site release assessments and on site spill prevention, environmental site restoration oversight, air emission estimates, hazardous material and hazardous waste storage and shipments, storm water pollution prevention, and natural resources management. Broader geographic impacts may include, but are not limited to: exporting project solutions, staff assistance visits, compliance assessments, and partnering with other units and intra-agency contacts to address challenges that affect multiple ANG
units within or beyond state boundaries. Accomplishes long range environmental planning, budgeting, and programming activities that impacts the installation and the region. Reviews engineering planning and construction documents for environmental considerations as required. Manages environmental funds and the Environmental Compliance Appendix of the Master Cooperative Agreement. Oversees the operations of the Environmental Management Office to include providing limited supervision over any subordinate positions. Performs other duties as assigned.
