Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Core of Corporate PR / Community and Sustainability is to bring our core belief “through sport, we have the power to change lives” and our strategic business plan “Creating the New” to life internally and externally via owned and earned media as well as activating adidas Community and Sustainability platforms

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard and positively impact/shape the reputation of addias and help build both the corporate brand and amplify the adidas/Reebok Brands through transparency, pro-active and effective PR i.e. story-telling and stakeholder management.
  • Align with global and APAC directions and strategy through regular contact to ensure that local projects are in accordance with global direction
  • Execute the corporate strategy by conveying the company’s purpose, strategy and objectives to both internal and external stakeholders/target groups in engaging manner
  • Manage Corporate reputation and crisis through strong relationship with corporate media and if needed, public institution or government
  • Support our target group in making sense of our multi-brand company world. Highlight important and globally relevant brand topics (from a corporate perspective) and connect the dots between the Group and its brands to help our target groups understand the big picture.
  • Create the annual Community & Sustainability calendar, in collaboration to ensure that the plans effectively capture the spirit of our core belief and in alignment to our CSR & sustainability strategy  
  • Drive the timely implementation of CSR and Sustainability events with quality and within budget to ensure the success of these events
  • Establish and maintain a selection criteria in order to select the best partners for the projects and ensure that all partners are selected according to these criteria, as agreed with internal stakeholders
  • Steer and manage all contract negotiations with respective partners
  • Communicate social purpose initiatives both internally and externally with timely and impactful content and media formats
  • Manage strong relationship and partnership with external partners
  • Maintain close communication with internal partners of Brands, Channels and HR to ensure internal alignment and involvement
  • Lead all Corporate PR actions and initiatives to upkeep the positive image and reputation of our brands and company
  • Work closely with Internal Communications Team

  • Brand activation, Sports Marketing teams of Brand adidas, Brand Reebok
  • Legal team
  • HR management and internal communications team
  • DTC and Wholesale Sales GTM Team
  • External partners
  • External agencies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Progressive experience in brand communication and/or Social responsibility
  • Leading and managing large scaled projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven project management experience
  • Advanced user of MS Office suite of products
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Fluent in local language and English
  • Implementation-driven personality who understands how to orchestrate across categories across all distribution channels.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent experience in sports, event management, communication, business
  • Multi-year experience in cause related projects and activities
  • Multi-year experience in a PR/Communications position
