Travel Required :20-40%
This position will provide support in areas of technical expertise including but not limited to engineering design, evaluations and assessments, reports, process optimization and technical program development and implementation to include support to staff such as staff level engineers and scientists, CADD technicians, field technicians and technical writers.
Level I: 2 years experience in technical field of expertise consisting of design, operations, field and construction experience to include environmental media sampling, evaluations and assessments, report writing and environmental remediation site support with at least one (1) year of experience in each area. Level II: 4 years experience in technical field of expertise consisting of design, field management and Quality Control (QC) management experience with at least one (1) year of experience in each area.
Education Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline; current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training certification and annual refreshers First-aid/CPR training; 8-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Supervisor Course. Safety and Quality training highly desired, or USACE 40-hr EM385-1-1 training; other specific training may be required/obtained upon hire. Excellent computer skills with use of MS Word, Excel. Engineer-in-Training Certification (EIT)required for level I Engineer; Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) required for level II Engineer. Academic requirements will be based on the candidates area of technical expertise such as Engineering, Geology or a Scientific-based discipline.
Other Requirements :
Candidate must be able to perform and oversee construction/remediation site activities, sampling, construction/remediation support services, demolition, and operations and maintenance. Must be able to use safety and respiratory protection equipment. Candidates must successfully pass standard CAPE pre-employment physical, drug and background screens.
