Job Description


This position is temporary, has a Not-to-Exceed date and will be filled for up to 6 months, however an extension of the appointment may be possible without further competition. The appointment may also end early due to lack of work or funds. 

This position is located within the Nex Perce-Clearwater National Forest. Incumbent performs a variety of work in support of the unit recreation program.

Checks visitor use of recreation facilities. Monitors compliance with recreation area rules and regulations of parking, campfires, sanitation, use of picnic sites, or hunting and fishing. Reports violations to supervisor. Cleans recreation areas and maintains improvements. 

Answers routine questions recreational activities. 

Constructs and/or maintains trails.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - Position(s) may involve work away the official duty location to remote worksites within commuting distance (49 miles) and may also require overnight travel and/or camping per work assignment.
