Under the supervision of a Senior Environmental Planner, the Environmental Construction Liaison, assists Construction, Design and Environmental in meeting environmental commitments identified in NEPA/CEQA documents and regulatory permits. Duties would also include the review and inclusion of these commitments in the draft project Plans, Specifications and Estimates documentation and ensure compliance of environmental commitments during construction. The incumbent coordinates with outside agencies, the public and Caltrans; and participates as a departmental representative on environmental issues at inter or intradepartmental meetings, public or private meetings and hearings. The incumbent must establish and maintain a professional working relationship with various local partners and interested parties involved with District 5 projects.
