Job Description

The Audubon Society of Portland has just completed a five-year strategic plan. The Wildlife Care Center Veterinarian will play an important role in achieving the organization’s EID goals through the delivery of high quality customer service and visitor engagement. Job Summary

The Wildlife Care Center Veterinarian is responsible for the oversight of all animal medical care provided through the Wildlife Care Center including wildlife and resident educational animals. The Veterinarian will report to the Wildlife Care Center Manager and will work with the other veterinary and rehabilitation staff to develop individual animal care plans. They will work with the WCC Manager, the Directors of Education and Conservation as well as the Executive Director in building larger animal care policy and programs fitting with the organization’s education and conservation priorities. An 18 hour per week minimum commitment is desired.
