Job Description

Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC is currently seeking a team-focused, creative, and results-oriented Environmental Scientist who has a desire to contribute to our clients’ success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities for career growth.  This position will be working out of our Duluth, MN location.


  • Assist in the development of environmental review documentation
  • Assist in preparing regulatory compliance plans and reports
  • Prepare permit submittals to regulatory agencies
  • Research, compile, analyze, and interpret environmental data
  • Literature review and summary reporting
  • Prepare sampling plans and collect field sampling data (soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water quantity and quality)
  • Manage drilling contractors and investigations
  • Assist with conducting surface water and groundwater statistical analysis
  • Identify and proactively communicate opportunities to address client issues, solve problems, and improve operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience with an environmental consulting firm
  • Demonstrated experience preparing technical reports and environmental documentation
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with the following:
    • Hydrologic modeling and GIS software
    • Environmental sampling of surface water, groundwater, and soil
    • Environmental statistical analysis
    • Proficiency with AutoCad
