Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on his/her expertise as an Environmental Protection Specialist.  You can make a difference by providing expertise on the direction of North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) standards.

LOCATION:
 Lower Colorado Region, Facility Services Division, Compliance & Regulatory Office, Water Wastewater Group, Clark County, NV.

Relocation expenses are authorized with the exception of the Guaranteed Home Sale Provision. First-post-of-Duty relocation expenses are authorized for new appointees or reinstatement eligible.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), signed into law, suspends the moving expense deduction and the exclusion from income of qualified employer reimbursements of moving expenses that was allowed under previous tax laws. As a result, employer reimbursements for moving costs are generally taxed at the same rate as ordinary income.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and assigns work to be accomplished, evaluates performance, maintains discipline, selects and rates performance of subordinates, identifies training needs, hears and resolves complaints, reviews work, and is responsible for timely performance of a satisfactory quantity and quality of work for the office.
  • Supervises the operation and maintenance of the Lower Colorado Dams Office (LCDO) water/wastewater treatment systems to include but not limited to: monitoring laboratory test procedures; negotiating re-issuance of permits to discharge treated effluent to the Colorado River; and completing physical inspections of the plant and plant operations.

  • Manages completion of reports to comply with legal requirements and other compliance reporting as assigned.                

Travel Required

Occasional travel - 0-3 day per month
