Summary

This position is part of the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee NWR. As a Park Ranger (Visitor Services Technician) you will be collecting entrance fees and selling fee booth passes, as well as answering visitor questions, and explaining general Refuge use regulations.

REGULAR TEMPORARY: This is a temporary appointment not to exceed 1040 hours in a service year. Incumbent may be non-competitively rehired in subsequent years as long as 1040 hours has not been exceeded in the previous year.

Responsibilities

Answer visitor questions relating to factual situations, geographical location of facilities, trails, tour routes, boat ramps, and other recreational areas, as well as explaining regulations covering common refuge use situations.

Collect fees, sell permits.

Present limited interpretive talks, assist with environmental programs.
