Job Description

With over 85,000 acres, the park offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities for the action packed off highway enthusiast as well as unique natural and cultural resources for the traditional park user.

The Ocotillo Wells District is seeking a highly organized, innovative, forward thinking person who can lead the interpretive team in its quest to deliver fast paced, cutting edged, recreation based interpretation to park visitors. The State Park Interpreter III is a member of the District’s core staff and will manage, plan, direct and supervise the activities of staff engaged in the interpretation and education program. This position manages the park marketing efforts, including visitor and stakeholder contacts, participates in outreach events, and maintains community relations by promoting responsible OHV recreation in conjunction with resource protection.
