Job Description

SUMMARY:  Tetra Tech, Inc. (Tt) seeks an experienced professional capable of managing and executing petroleum and natural gas (including LNG and natural gas liquids) permitting projects. Projects can include pipelines, terminals, gas processing, refining, and generally all upstream and downstream activities.

The candidate must have demonstrated experienced in managing and siting interstate pipelines within relevant regulatory frameworks such as FERC and NEPA, and within various state’s permitting requirements.

  • For NEPA, the candidate must be experienced in the preparation of multiple EIS and EA documents, and will be expected to provide examples.
  • The candidate must be able to identify specific infrastructure in which he had a key permitting role.
  • The candidate will report to the Vice President of Operations in the Pittsburgh, PA Office. 
  • The candidate will be expected to support marketing personnel in generation of new business in Oil and Gas, however the candidate is expected to also develop additional opportunities from his existing contacts. 
  • It is expected that up to 25% travel will be required. Business development will be required which will require an understanding of gas/oil drilling, gathering pipelines, and transmission and distribution (pipeline, trucks, and rail). 

 Additional qualifications includes support of FEED studies, rare, threatened, and endangered species survey clearances, public scoping meetings and hearings, and provide related training, inspections, and audits.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  •  Support marketing and sales efforts generating at least $500,000 in revenue in the first year.
  • The successful candidate will support projects and be expected to maintain an acceptable level of utilization. 
  • Support preparation of proposals in accordance with the proposal schedule and budget.
  • Successfully manage projects or support projects in the given technical field.
  • Interface with clients, government regulators, other contractors and other project stakeholders.

 

 

 

 EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: B.S. in Engineering, Geology, or related science with a minimum 15 years of directly applicable experience required.   Experience in the United States Oil and Gas Market is required.   Professional registration is required for engineers or geologists.  Be self-motivated and creative and have strong organization, inter-personal communication, writing, and presentation skills.

 

Possess knowledge of and be able to support marketing all services offered by Tt for the Oil and Gas Market Sector.  Candidate must have the ability to participate in multiple projects simultaneously to meet strict deadlines as well as the ability to effectively communicate with clients, management, state and Federal regulators, technical, graphics, and support personnel.
