For evaluation purposes, acceptable qualifying experience for all positions must have been in a paid capacity unless noted otherwise in the minimum qualifications for the posted position.

Additionally, 30+ hours per week will be counted as full-time employment and will receive full credit for the amount of time employed.  A minimum of 15 through 29 work hours per week will be counted as part-time employment and will receive half credit for the amount of time employed.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in architectural, engineering, environmental or life science field.


  • Three (3) years of experience in two (2) or more of the following environmental areas:

          -ISO 14001 programs
          -Compliance monitoring, inspection or auditing
          -Compliance program development
          -Training program planning/implementation
          -Pollution prevention programs
          -Coordinating special events involving public participation
          -Public presentations
          -Sustainability program monitoring, development, planning or implementation
          -Report writing
          -Permit preparation
          -Air emission inventory development
          -Ground water/soil investigation and remediation
          -Coordination with state and federal agencies


  • Valid driver's license with good driving record.
  • For some positions, must obtain a forty (40)-hour HAZWOPER certification within six (6) months of hire.


  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • MSOffice or similar software skills.


  • A master's degree or higher in a specified field plus two (2) years required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.


  •  ISO 9001 programs.
