This position is located with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, Planning Division, Environmental Resources Branch, Regional Planning Section. Duty Location: Los Angeles, CA or Phoenix, AZ.

Los Angeles, CA - Salary Range: $69,283.00 - $107,955.00
Phoenix, AZ - Salary Range: $63,192.00 - $98,464.00

Responsibilities

  • Serves as an environmental manager responsible for the execution of environmental, and recreation planning programs for the civil and military functions of the Corps within the environmentally and culturally diverse four-state region of the District.
  • Accomplishes environmental protection, a primary mission of the Corps, through interpretation and implementation of numerous laws, executive orders, regulations, and policies dealing with natural and cultural resources.
  • Survey and analysis of environmental conditions and projected conditions; coordination and negotiation with other Corps elements, other agencies, and the public.
  • Participate on interdisciplinary teams; the projection of documents and the development of plans dealing with environmental, cultural, and recreation matters.

Travel Required

25% or less - Business travel is approximately 20%.
